WordPress Blog Question?

I’m using WordPress for a blog I run. We seem to be getting a lot of spam sign ups for membership, which doesn’t achieve anything since the blog is fully moderated. However, it is annoying because a bunch of the sign ups are clearly not from our members, and are most likely some kind of spam sign up.

So my question is, what is the easiest way of preventing automated member sign ups? Is there a nice plug in I could install? Thanks.
